Objective: The
European Research and
Development HQ within
Pfizer wanted to
strengthen its internal
communications in order
to raise morale and
retain the best talents
within the organisation.
Solution: Grey
Gosling took over the
day-to-day running of an
existing internal online
newsletter, The
Pipeline, providing a
range of articles for
the weekly editions.
Working closely with the
internal communications
department, our staff
run all aspects of
editorial for the
publication, including:
-
researching, writing
and uploading all
articles
-
providing a single
point of contact for
all reader enquiries
and feedback
-
establishing and
maintaining an
informal network of
contacts throughout
the company
-
collecting and
following up story
leads
-
liaising with
technical staff to
maintain and upgrade
the ‘back end’
system.
Success: During
the three years that
Grey Gosling has managed
The Pipeline, internal
cost-cutting exercises
have significantly
reduced the size of the
internal communications
department. However, due
to the high level of
readership and interest
shown by staff, the
publication has survived
and has flourished.
Throughout this period,
Grey Gosling has
maintained the quality
and output of The
Pipeline and has
recently been
commissioned to continue
its work into 2009.
